DUBAI – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is commemorating the Day of Solidarity today, with a nationwide aerial parade featuring helicopters and fighter jets flying across all seven emirates.

Organised by the UAE Armed Forces in cooperation with Fursan Al Emarat, the UAE National Aerobatic Team, the flypast will be the centrepiece of the annual observance, offering residents a chance to witness the display from designated locations across the country.

Observed each year on January 17, the Day of Solidarity marks the anniversary of the 2022 attack that targeted civilian areas. The occasion has since become a symbol of resilience, unity and collective strength, reaffirming the close bond between the leadership, the armed forces and the people of the UAE.

Abu Dhabi

In the capital, the aerial parade will be visible near the flagpole area at Sariat Al Alam. Helicopters are expected to arrive at 3:05pm, followed by fighter jets at approximately 4:30pm, marking the starting point of the nationwide flypast.

Dubai

Residents in Dubai can watch the aerial display near Burj Al Arab. Helicopters are scheduled to pass at 3:50pm, with fighter jets appearing at around 4:43pm as the formation continues northwards.

Sharjah

In Sharjah, the designated viewing area is Al Buhaira Corniche. Helicopters are expected at 4:00pm, followed by fighter jets at 4:44pm, maintaining the closely coordinated timing of the flypast.

Ajman

Ajman Beach has been identified as the main viewing point in the emirate. Helicopters are set to arrive at 4:04pm, with fighter jets following at approximately 4:45pm.

Umm Al Qaiwain

In Umm Al Qaiwain, the aerial parade will pass over the flagpole area. Helicopters are expected at 4:12pm, followed by fighter jets at 4:46pm.

Ras Al Khaimah

Residents in Ras Al Khaimah can watch the flypast along Corniche Al Qawasim. Helicopters are scheduled for 4:30pm, with fighter jets expected at 4:51pm.

Fujairah

The final leg of the aerial procession will take place in Fujairah, with Umbrella Beach named as the viewing location. Helicopters are expected at 5:04pm, followed by fighter jets at 5:09pm, bringing the nationwide display to a close.
